Pencil on paper, 2009-2011
Drawings based on found images of beached whales, shipwrecks and other scenes at sea. Allocating some references to childhood tales and science fiction, this work is a continuation of my interest in notions of distance and dislocation and the role of images to determine our individual sense of identity and place. The drawings are very small, bordering on the miniature, sometimes I draw with a magnifying glass. I want to viewer to get close to the drawing and get immersed in the miniature world which can become immense.

All original drawings have been sold and belong to private collections.
