Hand-printed glass installation, 2009

This installation presents a composition of a forest by the repetition of the same image of a winter tree. The glass is printed manually so each slide is different but always with the same image. This work reflects upon notions of the construction of memories, fragmentation and the relation between the unit and the whole. The viewer can choose to see the forest or the glass. I am interested in the forest as a landscape with potential for mystery but also in the forest as an image, as a construct, an artificial scenario for potential narratives.
/Esta instalación presenta una composición de un bosque mediante la repetición de la misma imagen de un árbol. El cristal impreso manualmente hace que cada diapositiva sea diferente pero todas con la misma imagen. Esta obra refleja sobre la construcción de la memoria, fragmentación y la relación entre la unidad y el todo. El espectador puede elegir ver el bosque o el cristal. Estoy interesada en el bosque como paisaje que invita al misterio, pero tambien el bosque como imagen, como una construcción, un escenario artificial para posibles narrativas.
