Photographs, 2007-8
Found postcards specially selected for their lack of title or identification have been then re-photographed with a strong light behind exposing both sides. With no title or identifiable names, these postcards are failed tokens. The souvenir is the materialization of memories, but as an object it is always amputated because without the narrative is useless and incomplete. This work explores psychological aspects of the souvenir as an illusion, not a model.

Postales encontradas seleccionadas especialmente por la ausencia de nombres o identificación alguna, han sido re-fotografiadas con un fuerte luz por detrás que expone las dos caras. Sin título, localización o autor identificado, estas postales son recuerdos fallidos. El souvenir es la materialización de memoria, pero como objeto está siempre amputado, siempre incompleto, porque sin su narrativa es inútil e inerte. Con estas fotografías exploro los aspectos psicológicos del souvenir como una ilusión y no un modelo.
