Orphans

These drawings are fragments, sketches, and abstractions. Some are old, some recent. Some are on their own, others in clusters or ‘siblings’. Most emerged on the journey to something else, stashed away in sketchbooks, boxes or drawers, but they survived. They linger, holding a quiet emotional charge. Some will wait forever, while others might yet resolve into new pieces. Whether leftover, unfinished, or impulsive, something in each of them still draws me in. These are my orphans: unclaimed by larger narratives, yet not forgotten—each carrying its own small gravity.
