I am delighted to be back exhibiting at the new Our Big Picture art spaces in Grimsby’s highstreet. Beyond Scale presents a selection of recent and new works exploring our relationships with places and objects that are too big or too small, too far or too close to be apprehended directly. Recent works interpret techno-scientific imagery to connect contrasting visions of the cosmos, from myth and astrology to modern astronomy. The exhibition includes recent works exploring Saturn through the raw images from NASA’s Cassini mission and newly commissioned drawings inspired by robotic imaging of Mars.

For OBP’s commission, I have produced ten new drawings of my Life Size Mars series (new images to be updated soon), which render the expanse of Mars in tiny but life-size fragments. The exhibition will also feature my own micro gallery, also called Beyond Scale, presenting works by the Hyphae Drawing Collective in response to the themes of the show.

Exhibition is open 15th May – 8th June (Weds-Sat 11-3 pm). There is a ‘meet the artist’ launch day on Saturday 18th of May 11-3pm, and everyone is invited.
